Unique Perspective
Born in Lebanon in the 1960s and raised amid the civil war of the 1970s, I experienced trauma and displacement from an early age. When my family fled to Australia in 1977, I was a 12-year-old navigating a new culture while carrying the invisible weight of undiagnosed PTSD. That early experience became the foundation for a lifelong exploration of mental wellbeing across cultural and spiritual contexts.
A Path to Mental Health & Holistic Wellbeing
Born Muslim, I was educated in Catholic schools in Lebanon, and was already navigating different worldviews when civil war forced my family to immigrate to Australia. As a teenager, I struggled between divergent cultures while processing the invisible scars of war. And without guidance, I left school early and turned to books—discovering Western psychology and Eastern spirituality as parallel paths to understanding..
At 20, I began an unexpected career as an international fashion model, simultaneously dedicating myself to studying consciousness science and developing a daily meditation practice. My exploration led me through diverse wisdom traditions: from Islamic roots and Catholic education to Oriental mysticism and Buddhist Vipassana meditation in my mid-thirties.
In my late thirties, I began sharing these practices—first as a meditation teacher, then as a holistic counselor, life coach, and corporate facilitator. My certification as a Rebirthing Breathwork therapist with Leonard Orr deepened my ability to help others process trauma. From 2009-2012, I taught mindfulness at Cranbrook School, witnessing the transformative power of these practices in young lives.
In 2013, I experienced a profound shift in consciousness that became my greatest teacher. Shortly after, I left Sydney and began to travel, delivering over 90 workshops and retreats across 20 countries in 6 years.
