Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) equips adults with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognize, understand and respond to a friend, family member, co-worker, or another adult experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

Course Structure

The MHFA course is delivered in a flexible, blended online format combining self-paced learning with interactive instructor-led sessions.

Self-Paced E-Learning

  • Approximately 5-7 hours of interactive content

Access to the e-learning component is provided upon registration and must be completed before attending the Zoom sessions.

Attendance at both Zoom sessions is required for certification. Sessions are scheduled approximately one week apart.

No prior experience or training is required. The course is designed to be accessible to anyone 18 years or older who wishes to learn how to provide mental health first aid.

How does the blended online format work?

The course consists of a self-paced e-learning component (5-7 hours) that you complete on your own time, followed by two instructor-led sessions (2.5 hours each) conducted via Zoom. You must complete the self-paced component before attending the Zoom sessions.

Is this course recognized internationally?

Yes, MHFA is an internationally recognized program that originated in Australia and is now implemented in over 25 countries worldwide. The certification is respected globally, though specific recognition may vary by country.

How long is the certification valid?

Your MHFA certification is valid for 3 years from the date of course completion. After this period, you can take a refresher course to renew your certification.

What's your cancellation policy?

Full refunds are available up to 14 days before the course start date. Cancellations within 7-13 days receive a 50% refund. For cancellations less than 7 days before the course, no refund is available, but you may transfer your registration to another person or a future course date.
