The Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course empowers you with the skills to support another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis — until professional help is available or the situation resolves.
You’ll learn to:
Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health challenges in adults.
Understand how mental health problems can emerge or worsen over time.
Offer practical, compassionate support using a proven, evidence-based action plan.
Throughout the course, you’ll build the confidence to approach someone you're concerned about, open a supportive conversation, and encourage the person to seek appropriate help — whether that be professional care or other community supports.
Upon completion, you’ll become an accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider) — someone equipped to respond when it matters most.
